Missions

The mission ministry is a group of women who share a love of service to others.  Through sacrificial gifts of time, talent and treasure the mission seeks to meet the needs of persons in need of the loving touch of God.

Jesus said in the closing verses of Matthew to, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you” (28:19-20) We see in Jesus' words three areas of mission evident in the Great Commission:

  • Senior Mission-   A group of seasoned women who study God's word to prepare to show others; they pray for our church and others and carry God’s word into homes, hospitals, and nursing facilities.
  • Mission in Action- A group of younger women who train under the Senior Mission. They share the good news of Jesus Christ through action.  They are involved in the following service projects: The Ronald McDonald House, Macon Rescue Mission, Angel Tree, Back to School Drive to support children in need and the Ingram Pye School community.
  • Laymen- A group of men who support the total program of the Church in the local congregation, the community, and the world. They inspire other men in the church to have a closer walk with the Lord. They reach out to un-saved men through various community outreach ministries.
